Every fee receipt and approved expense posts to a real double-entry ledger. The statement gives you opening and closing balances, income and expenses by head, daily cashflow and a balance sheet — for any period you choose.

Most school software cannot tell you when it is wrong. This reports a control difference when debits and credits disagree, rather than presenting a tidy total over a broken ledger.
